There's nothing quite like an Arizona monsoon, and this season has been wonderful. I love all the afternoon rain we are getting. Today we had a major storm. The freeways were flooded, there were accidents everywhere, and there was quite a bit of damage done around town. Check out our parking lot!
I had to park and wade in to our house. It was great!
The storm drain was pretty flooded.
Obviously our parking lot wasn't designed for quick water redirection. It'll be interesting to see what it looks like tomorrow!

That totally reminded em of being in Florida,..in Miami on the mission. I wish we got that kind of rain here. I miss spashing about.
What great photos...I am kicking myself that I didn't take any for myself, I may have to borrow yours for my blog to show my family, I don't think they truly understand what a AZ monsoon is all about. Is that okay if I use these pics? I could've sat on my porch all day watching the storm pass, it was wonderful!
The best part of these past couple of days has been sitting outside in the sprinkles or cloudy windy evening. This particular night I took the boys outside to go play ball when it started to rain, I thought it would end in 5-10 minutes. I was a little shocked it turned into this!
I get a little concerned and worried about your safety, mostly because it is a foreign thing to me to see that much water. I take from your blog that you are okay with the amount of rain so I won't worry...I am sure it's nice to cool down.
Gotta love the monsoons. I'm glad AZ is finally getting a bunch of rain. Too bad it can't be spread out over time instead of all in a few days/weeks.
