Day 2 - Fall Trees

For our second day of 31 Days of October we made a fall tree. We talked about how leaves are green in the spring and summer, but during the fall they turn all kinds of pretty colors, like red, yellow, orange and brown, and then fall off the tree. We showed them pictures from the Way Cool Pictures website of these beautiful fall trees, since we really don't see a lot of red and orange trees in AZ.
After we looked all the pretty pictures we created a fall tree of our own.
They colored the leaves all kinds of pretty fall colors.
Daddy and the lil' pumpkin watched from the sidelines.
Then they glued the leaves to the trunk. This was Myla's first experience with a glue stick, so it was...interesting. :)
The finished product! I love how Cade remembered that the leaves fall off the tree, so he wanted to put some leaves on the grass (which he colored as well).

FYI-I found the tree trunk printable here and the leaf printables here.
