Yesterday we took a semi-spontaneous trip to Flagstaff to play in the snow. Cade came busting into our room at 6:34am to wake us up to go to the snow. He was more excited about this than Santa coming! We got into Flagstaff, had breakfast at our favorite little dive, Mike and Rhonda's The Place, then went to this field behind the apartment complex I used to live at when I went to NAU. It was perfect for the kids. The hills were small and not many people were there. We spent about an hour and a half playing in the snow before we all got too cold and wet. We changed clothes, packed up our stuff, and headed home. It was a perfect family day. Here are some pics:

I cannot believe how big your kids are!! I am so glad you all could get away and have some fun. Fun is so important, and kids love snow.
I think that we will be going to the snow this weekend. You guys looked like you had a lot of fun! I too love the hats!
Look at all those darling kids (and hats)! What fun!
How fun! I love the pictures too! We have snow....but I haven't taken the kids sledding...now I think I should since you drove all the way to Flagstaff to do it! A family snow day sounds fun!
Did I mention that I am so honored that you all are wearing the hats I made? I feel warm.
