Unique Tag

The rules are: 1. answer questions from your blog list of friends and family. 2. If you don't have 18 names on your list you can pick a name for the last question.

*When did you meet the first person on your list? Redge was my brother's best friend in high school and is Jamie's brother. I met him in high school and met Saralyn after James and Jamie got married.

*What do you like about the 3rd person on your list? Heather was a Spanish speaking missionary in my mission. We were both new together and hit it off then. Our trainers sent us together to go tracting in an all-Jewish retirement community. It was quite a learning experience. :) She is so sweet! I'm so glad we keep in touch.

*What do you like best about the 5th and 6th person on your list? Maren is so creative and so fun! She gets me, which I really appreciate. She is so open-minded and compassionate. I am really glad we became friends. Taryn was my college roommate and one of the nicest people I know. I have so many wonderful memories of Taryn. She has a great sense of humor and is very loving. She has a beautiful family.

*How long have you known the 9th person on your list? We met the Duggers when we first moved into our townhouse...so about 5 years ago. They moved about a year later, but we recently found each other's blogs and keep in touch that way.

*What impresses you about the 11th & 12th person on your list? The Haws family (my sister) are awesome. Their kids love each other so much and are so sweet. Jared and Nicki would give you the shirt off their back. My kids adore Uncle Jared and Aunt Nicki. They are wonderful people. Alisa and Jake are my cousins. They always have such good attitudes and seem to accomplish the things they set their minds to.

*What is a memory with the 16th person on your list? Missy was my companion in the MTC and then again out in the mission field in West Palm. We always had so much fun together and really worked well together. We tortured the Elders, sang in harmony (her better than me), laughed a lot and worked hard. One of my favorite memories of Missy was getting $1 Happy Meals from McDonalds and driving to the beach to watch the ocean (from our car) as we ate.

*Say something nice about the 18th person on your list? The 18th person on my list is Maren's preschool and since I already said something nice about her (hey, how many times do I have to be nice--hee, hee) we'll do the Meaders. The Meaders' are Kevin's good friends from high school and it's awesome that they have kept in touch. The few times I met them they were very nice and a lot of fun. Kevin says about them, "They are the kind of people I want to be when I grow up."

I tag Jill, Taryn, Missy, and Aubrey...if you want to. No pressure. :)

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

It's EQ softball season and this past week we went to watch Kevin play. Surprisingly, he ended up playing against my brother, James, and bro-in-law, Jared. The kids had a great time playing as all the mother's chased them up and down the bleachers trying to keep major injuries from happening.
Kevin playing at catcher.
Myla and Connor riveted by the game.
Daddy's biggest fan!

The Haps

This past week has been a lot of fun, so instead of updating you on the happenings of New Kids on the Block and American Idol and the Twilight movie (so important, I know) here is an update on the McMillan family...much more important. :)

It's swimming suit weather! Yea! We went to Aunt Nicki's house to play on the trampoline in the water. The kids loved it. It was hard to get them off!

I love swimming suit weather...it means I get to pinch those chubby legs! More than I usually do. :)

Cade had an especially good time playing with the sprinkler.

Connor wasn't into the water play so much...but he enjoyed jumping on the dry trampoline and playing with his turtles.

Here is a picture of them all together. See how big Baby Rachel is getting (on the right end)?! She's always smiling and is so good natured. She adorable. Jared was so sweet to hold her up so she didn't fall over.
We don't abide by child labor laws in the McMillan household.
Just kidding. Myla was super interested in Dad doing the dishes, so he let her stand on the stool to check it out and try a few herself. She was very enthusiastic. We'll see if she feels the same way in 10 years or so.
Cade gave his very first talk in Primary today! It was on following the prophet. We practiced all week long and he did a fantastic job! I was a little worried that he wouldn't want to say it in front of everyone, but he did...and he was wonderful. Kevin and I had a few tears in our eyes by the time he was done. It was a sweet moment. And last, but certainly not least, my sweet husband has been so wonderful. This week has been a tough one physically for me and Kevin has really taken on a lot more work to pick up my slack. Does he complain? Not one bit.
This is Kevin blowing up our air matress for me. It helps my back out a lot to sleep on the air matress and since we didn't have the right attachment to blow it up, Kevin had to use a ball pump. It took about 45 minutes. He is the sweetest guy! I am sure lucky to have him.

Was Anyone Really Surprised?

I have been addicted to American Idol this season. It's a love/hate relationship with me and AI. This season I love it. Maybe it's because when 7:00pm rolls around all I can do is lay like a beached whale on the couch and watch TV and AI is the only things on these days? I don't know. Anyway, last night another contestant was eliminated and everyone looked so shocked that it was Michael Johns. Paula looked like she was going to faint. Really? Why was everyone so surprised? Yeah, he's cute. Yeah, he's got a hot Australian accent...but when he sings I feel stressed. I have never enjoyed his performances because I feel so stressed for him. I feel like he has to try so hard. Now I'm no expert, but I kind of figure that if a performer stresses out his audience, well...that doesn't quite work out for anyone, does it?

Perfection

On a day when I feel so crappy I can barely drag myself off of the couch, my son melts my heart. As I was pulling my messy hair back into a pony tail he says: Mom, you look perfect.
What a kid!
Cade & me when he was a couple of days old. He's my definition of perfection!

Where'd They Go?

Really, who needs to see their feet?
This is my tummy at 30 weeks. Only 9 weeks to go!! (I have c-sections and they happen at 39 weeks.) Everything is going well. I had an ultrasound last week and saw Baby sucking it's thumb. Nope, we still don't know the gender...kinda exciting that way, dontcha think?

Webb Campout 2008

This past weekend my family got together for the first Webb campout (that involved my aunts and uncles and cousins). It was so much fun. My Uncle David owns some property outside of Globe that has an orchard of fruit trees. This is where we camped. It was awesome. The weather was wonderful and the company even better. So, what did we do?

We visited. (My dad, my mom, Uncle David, Aunt Linda)
We played a few intense games of Connect Four. (Cade, Connor, Jared Jr.)We got pulled around in the wagon by fun Grandma Webb. (Grandma Webb, Myla, Jared Jr. and everyone else watching)
We visited some more. (Jamie, Dad, Uncle Bert, Dawn, Bradley, Aunt Colleen, Jared, Nicki, Rachel)
We slept (or tried to). Kevin and Myla cuddled up to keep warm. She wandered around the tent for about 15 minutes before settling down. Cade, on the other hand, was out like a light. Then decided to wake up every 30 minutes or so throughout the night. It was fun.
Play in the wagon. This was a popular activity among the toddlers. (Cade, Myla, Connor and Jared Jr.)
Rode the quads....a very popular activity among everyone else. (Emma and Richard)
Rode the quads some more. (James and Bradley)
Played with the doggies. (Myla and Cowboy)
Again, rode the quads. (Emma, Jacob, Breck)
Played with the wagon some more. (Cade) And slept. This is Myla about 20 seconds after we were on the road heading home. It was a fun, exhausting trip. We can't wait until next year!
